“CSOs kept silent about the deportation of 600 Afghan refugees last week. If it happened in Europe, CSOs there would spread the word to the whole world. We expect public and civil society institutions to defend Afghan refugees’ rights. May be that could help the refugees to get another chance.”

Kayseri-based Afghan Refugees Solidarity in Turkey was officially founded in 2014 but they have been giving cultural, social, educational help and translation, consultation assistance to the refugees since 2010.

Remiding that asylum is a fundamental human right, Zakira Hekmat said Afghan refugees are debarred from this very basic right and they are deported in a very short time without being granted their right to oppose.
