General Purpose
Prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document capacity building activities in STGM. This position is part of a team that focuses on implementing various programs to increase efficiency and effectiveness of rights based civil society organizations in Turkey. The position holder reports to Project Coordinator.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

assess training needs for civil society organizations
-
partner with internal/external stakeholders regarding civil society training needs
-
map out capacity building strategy
-
design and develop training programs to meet specific needs
-
liaise with subject matter internal/external experts regarding instructional design
-
establish and maintain relationships with internal/external experts
-
maintain updated curriculum database and training records
-
collaborate with trainers/experts in selection of appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, on-the-spot training, professional development classes, gamification etc)
-
use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques.
-
develop training aids and materials such as manuals and handbooks
-
assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on trainees
-
design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
-
track and report on training outcomes
-
conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
-
coordinate off-site training activities for employees
-
manage training budget
-
collaborate with Communications Coordinator to create promotional materials for trainings.

perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
-
bachelor’s degree in social sciences or equivalent working experience
-
at least 5 years experience in civil society
-
at least 2 years experience in organising training programs and/or implementing organizational capacity development programs.

knowledge of adult education and learning theory and principles
-
knowledge of education/training design
-
knowledge of training methodologies
-
knowledge of concept of organizational capacity development
-
experience in dealing with project management cycle
