What Are the Demands of Young LGBTI+ Regarding Dormitories?

Association of Young LGBTI+ digitally published their brochures called “LGBTI+ Dormitory Experiences” and “What Are the Demands of Young LGBTI+ Regarding Dormitories?”

The brochures were prepared within the frame of “LGBTI+ Friendly Student Dormitories” by İzmir Association of Young LGBTI+ and included experiences and suggestions of LGBTI+ individuals.

According to the brochures, one of the main problems with the dormitories is their being classified as a girls’ or boys’ dormitory. “This classification excludes LGBTI+ individuals and prevents them from their housing rights,” their study says. Their suggestion instead is “queer rooms”.
