In the event held by Education Reform Initiative in Kadir Has University, experts, academicians and teachers discussed children, plays and life.

Umay Aktaş, Researcher of Education Reform Initiative, told that education cannot be limited only to schools. “Children spend less and less time outside playing. There are many reasons to that. According to the researches, every 1 of 6 children in Turkey plays outside less than 1 hour. It is similar to a prisoner’s daily outside time,” said Salman.

“A child would want to play a digital game if there is no option of a physical one”

Academician Yavuz Samur said: “I asked 5200 children about what they would want to play the most at school. Their answers follow as football, hide and seek, playing tag and so on. Their choice is to play games that require physical activity. They cannot play all those games at home or outside. A child would want to play a digital game if there is no option of a physical one.”
