“Youth” Is Not a Defined Identity in Turkey’s Politics

A mini-project called “Youth’s Participation to Politics” within the frame Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Turkey’s “New Roads and Procedures with the Youth” program was held last month in Kadıköy Academy.

Workshops, forums and Pentagon analysis to help young people to be more active in politics were held with 18 young participants who work actively in political parties and CSOs.

The main objective of the project is to gather politically active youth together and establish a model for dialogue which would help them involve in politics more actively.

After two days, participants categorized problems regarding youth involvement in politics as mechanism, perception, relations, values, economy and defined three main problems for each category. They worked on the reasons, results and solutions together.
