Unemployment Continues Increasing: 10,6 Percent

According to the official statistics, unemployment rate declined by 0,5 in May 2018 and was 9,7 %. Unemployment rate (seasonal employment not included) increased by 0,3 and was 10,6 (3 million and 400 thousand).

The number of unemployed people (whose ages are 15 or above) in Turkey declined by 89 thousand to 3 million 136 thousand in comparison with last year. Unemployment rate was 9,7 percent. The number of unemployed people (without seasonal workers) inclined by 93 thousand to 3 million 400 thousand. Unemployment rate inclined by 0,3 to 10,6 percent.
