11 Hospitals, 257 Schools Can Be Built with the Cost of One Thermal Power Plant in Eskişehir

Greenpeace Mediterranean has prepared a report called “What will be the cost of thermal power plant in Eskişehir?”. In the report, there is a calculation of what can be done with the cost of purchase guarantee of Alpu thermal power plant.

According to the results of financial modeling studies, the cost of one-year purchase guarantee of the power plant is 1 billion 987 million 12 thousand 653 Turkish Liras. This accounts for 79 percent of total tax income of Eskişehir.

According to the report, if tender is made in US dollars, loss of Electricity Generation Company can reach 4.786.526.356 Turkish Liras due to currency fluctuations.
