Young Deputies in the Parliament after June 24 Elections

With June 24 elections, age of candidacy has been lowered to 18 from 25. Although the number of young deputies was expected to increase, it was quite the opposite.

HDP’s young deputy number has dropped to 1 from 6. AKP has 5 young deputies while it was only 2 in 2015 elections. CHP’s young deputies are 2. None of the youngest candidates of political parties could make it into the Parliament.
