144 Tones of Plastic Mix in the Sea in Only One Day

Boğaziçi University held a workshop called “Time to Act for Plastic Waste in Turkey: Environmental Friendly Production, Responsible Consumption, Effective Recycling” on June 8, World Oceans Day.

In the workshop, high level of plastic pollution in the Mediterranean was discussed. It was emphasized that CSOs, academy, local-national authorities should act together for smart and sustainable plastic production.

Boğaziçi University, Sustainable Development Solutions Network – UN SDSN Turkey and WWF Turkey held the conference in collaboration and gathered the stakeholders of plastic sector in Turkey to talk about how to change the current situation about plastic waste.
