Human Rights Center Reopened in Mülkiyeliler Association

Human Rights Center in Ankara University’s Political Science Faculty was closed in November upon Ankara University’s Rector Erkan İbiş’s order.

Now, it is reopened in Mülkiyeliler Association.

Along with Şenal Saruhan, Zeynep Altıok (deputies of main opposition party), Rıza Türmen (former judge of ECHR), sociologist İsmail Beşikçi; discharged academicians, students and representatives of human rights foundations attended the opening ceremony in Mülkiyeliler Association.

Board Chairman of Mülkiyeliler Association Dinçer Demirkent said “It is a very important step to reopen the center, because we live in a time when even basic human rights are blockaded,” in his opening speech.
