19 Nisan 2018
A thermal power plant is planned to be built in Amasra, Bartın. After the construction company had uprooted olive trees in the project field, members of Bartın Platform planted 108 olive tree saplings on a 7 decare field as a protest.

Berkay Dal, Executive Committee Member of Bartın Platform read the press statement:
“We, as people of Amasra-Bartın, think that Amasra is more suitable to grow trees instead of building thermal power plants. By planting these olive trees, we want to remind once more that Amasra is a city of nature and history. We call for the cancellation of the environmental impact assessment report of the power plant. Thermal power plants are only threatening our future.”
